Step 1: Open Google Search
Start by opening your preferred web browser and typing “RailMadad” into the Google search bar.
Step 2: Access the RailMadad Website
From the search results, click on the link titled “RailMadad, A Grievance Redressal Mechanism” with the URL https://railmadad.indianrailways.gov.in.
Step 3: Navigate to the Train Section
Once the website opens, look for the dropdown menu related to train services.
Step 4: Enter Your Mobile Number
You will be prompted to enter your mobile number. After entering it, you’ll receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your phone. Enter the OTP on the website to verify your number.
Step 5: Provide Your PNR Number
After verifying your mobile number, you’ll need to enter the PNR number of your train ticket in the designated box.
Step 6: Select “Coach – Cleanliness” as the Service Type
In the service type dropdown, choose “Coach – Cleanliness” to specify that you need the coach to be cleaned.
Step 7: Choose the Specific Area for Cleaning
Next, in the “Sub Type of Service” dropdown, select the area that requires cleaning. For example, you can choose “Toilets” if that’s where the issue lies.
Step 8: Enter the Date of Incident
Select the date when you need the cleaning done, which could be the current date.
Step 9: Upload a Photo (Optional)
You have the option to upload a photo of the area that needs cleaning. This can help the cleaning staff understand the issue better, but it’s not mandatory.
Step 10: Describe the Issue
In the “Grievance Description” box, describe the problem in detail. You can write in any language you’re comfortable with.
Step 11: Submit Your Request
Finally, click on the “Submit” button to send your cleanliness request. An appropriate authority will review your request, and your problem will be addressed. In rare cases, if the staff needs more information, they may contact you for further clarification.

RailMadad also offers services for other issues, such as security concerns, staff behavior, and bedroll complaints. The steps to submit these grievances are similar to the cleanliness request process.
